Holiday Charity Projects

February 14th, 2012

Christmas is known as the season of giving and it’s always great to share our blessings with the world, especially the underprivileged. If you belong to an organization or just looking to help a charity this Christmas, there are many organizations that could use your help.

One project that is easy to get involved with is Operation Christmas Child. Through this project, people and groups can leave shoeboxes with items like school supplies, toys, money, and more at various drop boxes; the shoe boxes will be distributed to children in third-world countries. Why not fill a shoebox of your own, to be placed under Christmas trees all over the world?

If you want something close to home, volunteer for your local community’s soup kitchen. You can either donate food or serve during the holiday season. Be a good Samaritan by doing your own holiday charity.
