Pine Scents for Your Artificial Christmas Tree

March 20th, 2012

Aside from carols and the mad dash for decorations and Christmas trees, the fresh scent of pine trees is another sign that Christmas is just around the corner. There’s something about this soothing scent that makes the holiday season more magical as it envelops our homes. Many people, however, choose artificial Christmas trees because they’re more practical. And since artificial trees do not have a scent, they start to miss real trees.

Here are some ways to bring back that lovely smell in your homes:

  • Pine-scented air fresheners - These are great for pre lit Christmas trees since it can be easily absorbed you the plastic leaves.
  • Potpourri, incense, and pine-scented aromatic candles –  These can be found in stores and specialty stores. Make sure to place candles away from the tree to avoid accidents.
  • Real pine tree leaves – Place them in between the boughs and branches of your faux tree. The scent will fill the tree until the leaves dry up. You may also use garlands and wreaths made of real pine.

With these tips in mind, your home will be filled with the wonderful scent of pine in no time!
