Projects We Love: Shabby Love’s Grand Kitchen Reveal!

August 23rd, 2013

When it comes to home decorating, it’s easy to get stuck in a rut. That’s why I love following other bloggers. Checking out blogs is an affordable and fun way to get ideas and advice on decorating your home. In our first ever post for our new Projects We Love series, I’ll be highlighting a fellow blogger who gives me some home décor inspiration.

For this week, we have Shabby Love’s Grand Kitchen Reveal, where she showcases her newly upgraded kitchen! Her kitchen redo reminds me of my own, which we made a few upgrades to last year. Though, after seeing her white cabinets, I’m feeling inspired to lose my knotty pine cabinets like a bad habit! Here’s the combo I’m thinking about for my kitchen:

Melissa turned her orange/yellow walls into an all-white beauty. Some of the most prominent changes she made, aside from the color, are the bead board wallpaper, pallet shelves, trimmings, and wooden countertop.

What I love about her kitchen redo are her DIY pallet cabinets and door shelves. She painted then distressed the pallets to match her vintage ceramics, brushes, and weighing scales. I also adore the repurposed grain scoop that serves as a utensil holder!

Shabby Love’s Melissa is a loving wife and mother, who has a passion for designing, photography, and everything vintage and shabby chic. Visit her blog to learn more about her!
