When you need a home decor facelift, there is nothing like a fresh coat of paint. It is a chic yet practical way to update the look of old furniture, liven up a space, or even balance out the effects of decorative pieces. I’ve always been a fan of using different colors in my home because adding a bit of color to a room breathes new life into old items. So if you’re looking to stretch your home decorating dollar while adding a bit of charm to any room, paint is a great place to start.
I love Roeshel’s work on their painted stenciled guest bedroom floor. With a bit of paint & creativity, she added great style without the cost of a full renovation. But I have to say one of my favorite projects is her kitchen wall with yellow Herringbone accents. Though I’m sure this was a bit of time investment, the finished product is well worth it. Now the room has fun visual interest without the cost premium for wallpaper.
When it comes to updating the look of your home, applying a new coat of paint can do wonders. Even painting small accessories, like these mason jars, will allow you to add your own unique style to your space without spending too much.
My husband and I have tackled a number of painting projects recently. Though I still have of more to paint… metal cabinets, a book shelf, a chandelier. Thanks for inspiring me to keep painting, Roeshel!
