With all the flurry of preparing your Thanksgiving dinner, don’t let your table take a back seat. Using basic essentials and fall pieces you already have on hand, you can give your Thanksgiving table a simple and chic appeal.
Use What You Have
Shopping your home for decorative pieces is always a great go-to idea for whipping up a beautiful tablescape in a pinch. Decorative glass apothecary jars can house your pumpkins or fall foliage, while a length of burlap works as a runner. For my simple Thanksgiving table décor, I used those tall candlesticks and cute turkey candle holders from last year’s table. The burlap runner is from Walmart—super affordable and cute!
Add Natural Pieces
As I’ve mentioned before, fall is the perfect time to use natural elements because there are plenty of them! Here, I’ve used various-sized gourds to decorate the entire table. A couple of small ears of corn add a natural flair to your table setting, ideal for a simple and chic look.
I also made the napkins from a yard of black ticking stripe fabric I had purchased at Hobby Lobby, and used this sewing tutorial from The Girl Inspired.
Match Colors with the Season
I like mixing and matching. Here, I chose neutrals, like these cream salad plates, and brought in warmer hues like the earth toned dinner plates, white and mustard striped towels, and fall gourds. The gold and yellow napkins are actually towels I purchased at TJMaxx for $4.99. I love how they second as napkins!
